Biography

Summary

My recent installation work uses computer sensor and display technologies to explore new ways for visualizing human presence. As people enter these installations, sensors track their movements and they immediately become part of an interactive display projected on the gallery wall in front of them.

My installation dislocator opened at the Jack Straw New Media Gallery in 2004 and was selected as a visual arts pick by the Seattle Weekly.

As an interaction designer and software developer, I have created products for Electronic Arts, Sega, Ofoto, and Motorola. At Electronic Arts, I created an authoring system used to produce the interactive movie Psychic Detective which premiered at the Mill Valley Film Festival. For Ofoto, I created a web-based interface used by customers to edit their photographs.

I hold a BA in Film and Television from the University of California at Los Angeles. I live with my wife and two children in Seattle, Washington.
